Jackson Kayak, established in 2003 by passionate whitewater enthusiasts Tony Lunt, Eric Jackson, and David Knight, embodies a commitment to inclusivity, innovation, accessibility, and community. From its inception, the company attracted top talents in the kayaking world, including luminaries like Tony Lee, Dave Olsen, and Leif Koehler, fostering a culture of excellence and expertise.

Expanding beyond whitewater kayaking, Jackson Kayak diversified its offerings in 2010 with a fishing line, followed by coolers and kennels. In 2019, under new CEO Peter Hausin, alongside Donna Aubuchon for purchasing and interim CFO Bill Cave, the company underwent a strategic reset. With a seasoned management team comprising experienced paddlers and industry leaders, Jackson Kayak embarked on a trajectory of sustained growth and innovation.

Today, Jackson Kayak stands at the forefront of elite kayak manufacturing, excelling not only in whitewater but also in kayak fishing. The company has introduced premium products such as Orion Coolers and Blue Sky Boatworks, catering to diverse outdoor enthusiasts. Continuously pushing boundaries, Jackson Kayak remains dedicated to meeting the evolving needs of its community while championing outdoor enjoyment for all.

With a dynamic evolution, key roles within the company have expanded to include Eric Jackson's daughter, Emily, son, Dane, and son-in-law, Nick Troutman. Dane, a world-class athlete, drives innovation in design and advances whitewater kayaking. Nick, a top competitor and influencer, leads Jackson Kayak's Whitewater division and promotes outdoor experiences for families. Emily serves as the Whitewater Brand Manager, while Jameson Redding oversees the Fishing Brand Manager role, ensuring strategic direction by paddlers, for paddlers.

Rooted in its heritage, Jackson Kayak remains a family-owned, Made in USA business, with ownership vested in Tony Lunt, Emily Jackson, Dane Jackson, and David Knight. With over 100 employees locally, the company continues its legacy of excellence, embodying a passion for paddling and outdoor adventure.
