Fife Brook on the Deerfield River

from 60.00

The 10 mile section Zoar Gap of the Deerfield River is Massachusetts most popular rafting trip. With a number of Class II rapids and the Class III Zoar Gap, this section of river is a great introduction to whitewater rafting. It is prefect for families and a favorite for youth groups, boy scouts, school groups and camps.

After a brief time to learn the basics of paddling, the trip starts off with Hurricane Holea fun introductory rapid to get us warmed up. After, each team will float beautiful New England scenery and hone their paddling skills as they navigate a series of class II rapids over the next 5 miles, including; Freight Train, upper Minefield, Pinball and the Lemon Squeezer. The first half of the trip culminates with the class III Zoar Gap. Below the rapid, we pull over riverside for a delicious picnic-style deli lunch. After lunch a few more fun class II rapids await, as opportunities to swim and water fight with your friends. The day ends with a slide show of photos taken during the days adventure!
